Pet Transportation Information & Best Practices

Aerofleet always wants to ensure your pets are in the best of health and comfort when they are travelling.  We recommend the following best practises as part of pet relocation.

Ensure your pet has been examined by a qualified veterinarian. Get a health certificate for it. Please have its immunity system mentioned as healthy without fail. This is mandatory for pet transshipment.
Measure the height, weight and volume of your pet to get the right transportation cost. The actual travel crate or cage should be atleast 3 inches bigger than the overall size of your pet.
The cage should be roomy enough to allow your pet to stand at their full height, long enough to cover the pet at full stretch while sleeping and wide enough to allow them a turn of their body (360 degree).
Your dear pet cannot travel in domestic iron cages and plastic pet houses. As they are special, their relocation requires specialized travel air boxes.
Perform a thorough quality check of the cage to rule out leakages. However, it must be ventilated on all four sides.
Different countries have different regulations and guidelines for pet relocation. Transportation charges also differ depending on the destination. Please call us to know details.
. Train your pets to spend time in travel cages / kennels. This would reduce their anxiety and stress when they travel in their cage.
Airlines are very particular about pets keeping a distance (at least 3 inches) from the crate's edges while standing. Pet transportation may be rejected if your pet is found to be nervous and stressed in their travel boxes.

The quarantine and pet transportation clearances take time. It is always a good idea to be at the airport about 4 hours in advance to ensure the flight is not missed.
Above all, start working on the documents and papers atleast 30 days in advance to avoid having incomplete documentation.

As a responsible, professional and pet loving outfit, Aerofleet only uses kennels which are compliant with IATA rules & regulations for pet transshipment.

How Do I Measure My Pet?

If you can’t get to a pet store to try your pet’s travel crate on for size, you can still find your pets correct crate size by using the following crate measuring guidelines.
